College and Career Academy Application

Round 2 Applications are due April 13, 2012 at 5pm

Students

8th Graders
If you would like to attend a high school with a College and Career Academy, you should:

  • Learn about the different academies on this site (see list below)
  • Choose the schools and academies you want to apply to
  • Download and complete the Round 2 Application (see next section)
  • Round 2 Applications are due April 13, 2012 at 5pm

Round 2 Applications

  • Students that did not apply during the first round of selections should download and complete the application.
  • Students that applied during the first round and did not receive/accept any offers and would like to be considered for different academies in the second round should download and complete the Modification Form.
  • Duplicate applications will be discarded
  • Round 2 Applications are due April 13, 2012 at 5pm

Freshmen
If you are attending a high school with a College and Career Academy or CTE stand alone program and want to participate should speak with your counselor.

Application Information

The application process for College and Career Academies is very similar to other CPS options programs such as Magnet and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. The academy application process is part of CPS's Options for Knowledge program managed by the Office of Academic Enhancement (OAE). OAE has created an Options for Knowledge guide available at http://www.cpsoae.org/apps/news/show_news.jsp?REC_ID=212726&id=0 which contains all the application details for College and Career Academies.
