Regarding CPS AVID College Readiness Tutoring Opportunities
Accessing the Schedule
The CPS Schools AVID Weekly Class Time Schedule is available in MS Excel format (linked above).
The time slots show a block; AVID School Coordinators and AVID College Tutor Candidates will be able to see time availability and job opportunity status at each school across the district.
Color Codes per each AVID Class on Tutorial Days:
- Red: no tutors (two tutors needed)
- Yellow: one tutor working (one tutor needed)
- Green: fully staffed with two tutors (no tutors needed)
Directions to Apply for Tutor Position
- Review the tutor schedule (above).
- Submit resume and application (above) to designated AVID District Coordinator listed on tutor application.
AVID School Coordinators
- Review information for accuracy.
- If your ‘color code’ status for any AVID class at your school is incorrect please email directly the assigned AVID District Coordinator for your Collaborative with the up-to-date information and cc gmbowens@cps.k12.il.us.
