As a student in the Cabinet Making program you will learn to design and build residential furniture. You will be instructed on and practice using tools and machines that include table saws, radial arm saws, portable circular saws, drilling and boring machines and routers. Students learn skills necessary to construct cabinets and other interior wood-working structures. In addition to the tools you use, you will also learn design layout and measuring techniques, methods of jointing woods by various types of woodworking joints and fasteners, and proper procedures for finishing wood products.
