From the CPS Regular School Calendar
On these days teachers are to report at the regular time. Institute days are non-attendance days for students and are days held or approved by the State Superintendent of Instruction for teacher in-service workshops or equivalent professional educational experiences such as educational gatherings, demonstrations of instructional materials, visitation to other schools, institutions or facilities. Teacher Institute Days are fully principal directed.
