When you were a little kid, it was OK to say you wanted to be a cowboy or a ballerina, a basketball player or a TV actor—without knowing what that really meant. And it is always OK to dream. But as you get ready for high school, it is time to get real about what you want to be when you grow up. Choices Explorer can help you do that.
Choices Explorer is a website that guides you in creating your own career and college plan. You can access it anytime from any computer as long as you have the Internet—at school, at home, at a community library or computer lab. You save information in your online portfolio, so you can get to it anytime.
On Choices Explorer you can
- Work: Explore over 1,200 careers—many you’ve never even heard of. Find the ones that match your interests or where there will be lots of jobs in the future.
- Study: Connect careers to college majors. Find out what you need to know to get the job you want.
- Plan: Start to build your career and college plan. Save it in your portfolio and go back to it frequently. It’s OK to change your mind!
