Choices is the web-based career and education planning software that CPS uses to help students develop an individual career and postsecondary plan. Since Choices is web-based, information is stored in online portfolios, and students can access it from any computer with an Internet connection—at school, at home, at a Chicago public library.
Choices Planner is available at no cost to all students in 9th through 12th grade, and Choices Explorer is available to all students in 7th and 8th grade.
With Choices Planner and Choices Explorer, students can evaluate their career interests, explore careers matching those interests, and locate postsecondary training institutions and colleges.
