Attending college fairs helps students become aware of the numerous postsecondary educational opportunities available to them. College fairs provide students with the chance to meet admissions representatives from colleges and universities, ask questions, and pick up informational materials. Some fairs include representation from a wide variety of colleges while others are more specialized and specific.
The Department of Postsecondary Education partners with other CPS departments and several outside organizations to coordinate numerous college fairs including the Athletic College Fair, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Historically Black College Fair, the Military College Fair, the State Universities College Fair and the National College Fair.
