Advanced Arts and CPFTA Info Session

Attention Sophomores

At this event, we will provide overviews of two of our most popular Career and Technical Educaiton (CTE) programs: Advanced Arts @ Gallery 37 and the Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy (CPFTA). These programs are open to all students meeting the specific program requirements.

After brief introductions, attendees will break into separate groups to learn about the application and selection process for the program they are interested in and get their questions answered.

Advanced Arts @ Gallery 37

Attend class five days a week from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Gallery 37 Center for the Arts

• Take classes in Fine Arts, Culinary Arts, Arts and Technology and Performance Arts
• Earn Honors and Advanced Placement credits
• Students receive CTA passes daily for roundtrip transportation
• Eligible for Dual Enrollment Program at Harold Washington College

Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy (CPFTA)

Attend class three days a week from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Chicago Police Academy or the Chicago Fire Academy

• 2-year after-school program for students interested in pursuing a career in Public Safety
• Opportunity for paid summer internship if selected
• Financial assistance to attend a City College of Chicago
