Supporting the Change Process for School Improvement Initiatives

Leaders of a change process often make a common mistake...
They presume that once a school improvement initiative has been introduced and initial training has been completed, teachers will put the initiative into practice.

At this workshop participants will learn how to:

• Develop a checklist that describes what a school improvement initiative will look like in operation within a classroom
• Identify which of the seven stages of concern teachers are experiencing and interventions for each stage
• Determine the extent to which teachers are using new practices and strategies to encourage higher levels of implementation
