The New York Times College Life Fair

The College Life Fair will be the first of its kind in Chicago, and is an excellent opportunity for current high school students to learn important information about the college experience while gaining valuable exposure to college admissions representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities from across the country.

The College Life Fair will provide students with a unique interactive experience designed to aid students and families in the college decision making process. Highlights will include:

  • Representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities from across the U.S.
  • A panel discussion led by college access experts and moderated by Jacques Steinberg, author of "The Gatekeepers: Inside the Admission Process of a Premier College"
  • A "forum with a forum" that will feature a rotating line up of speakers who will discuss various aspects of applying to college, paying for college and succeeding once there
  • Special guest Jed Hoyer, Chicago Cubs General Manager and former college admission counselor at Wesleyan University
  • Registration

    This event occurs during the regular school day, schools will be coordinating attendance and transportation
