Last year, 91% of CPS graduates completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Many qualified for an average of $10,000 in federal and state grants to help pay for a variety of postsecondary options, including college, university, technical, trade, and vocational school programs.
All seniors are encouraged to complete the FAFSA no later than March 15, 2012 because last year, the state grants were exhausted shortly after that date.
Applying for state and federal student aid is quicker and easier than ever! Completing a FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov as early as possible is the first step. If you need help completing your FAFSA, there are many free resources to help you navigate the application process.
