Howard University "Escape to Mecca" College Tour

The Howard University Escape to Mecca Spring Break College Tour is back for 2012!

Now in its 9th year, the Escape to Mecca (E2M) Tour Program is one of the longest standing and successful Spring Break tours hosted in partnership between Chicago Peoples Union of Howard University and Chicago Public Schools. This year we will partner with GEAR UP of Northeastern Illinois University to sponsor this program.

The Howard University annual Escape to Mecca (E2M) Tour Program is a college experience designed to expose talented high school students from Chicago Public Schools to the greatness of the Mecca of African American education, Howard University by immersing participants in the educational, cultural, and social environment of the campus and D. C. area. Student participants live in the dormitory and dine in the cafeteria with a CPU student host, attend classes, meet with various school administrators, and engage in campus social events.

Cost
The cost for Escape to Mecca is $250 and requires a minimum booking of 40-seats in order for the tour to take place!

Eligibility

• Chicago Public Schools students only
• Juniors and Seniors
