Cluster Highlights

Students have opportunities to participate in local and national cosmetology conferences working with hair care products companies and salons serving as models, assistants, and hosts.

CPS Early Childhood Education students receive first hand industry experience working in child care centers, schools, and home daycares while still in high school. Teaching Academy students may work with younger children and fulfill service learning requirements through early teaching experiences.

Every day, 13 million pre-schoolers, including six million infants and toddlers, are in Early Childhood Education.

Continued growth in the number of nail salons and full service day spas will generate thousands of job openings for manicurist, pedicurists, skin care specialists, and hairdressers.
