Choices Planner is a website that guides you in creating your own career and college plan. You can access it anytime from any computer as long as you have the Internet—at school, at home, or at a community library or computer lab. You save information in your online portfolio, so you can get to it anytime.

On Choices Planner you can:

  • Work: Explore over 1,200 careers. Find the ones that match your interests.
  • Study: Connect careers to college majors. Find out what you need to know to get the job you want.
  • Colleges: Search for schools by cost, location, programs, size, and other factors.
  • Financial aid: Search for scholarships.
  • Plan: Start to build your career and college plan. Save it in your portfolio and go back to it frequently. It’s OK to change your mind!

What you need

  • All students in Grades 9 through 12 have access to Choices Planner.
  • To log on for the first time:
  • Go to http://www.cps.bridges.com
  • Enter your Portfolio Name and Password (Portfolio Name and Password: cps and your student ID number. Example: cps12345678)
  • Change your password after you log in. Choose something simple that you will remember and write it down!
  • If you don’t know your student ID number, or you are having trouble logging in, contact your counselor
