CPS Alumnus & Entrepreneur, Ariell Buckingham, Earns a Trip to Saudi Arabia for her Start-up!

Ariell Buckingham, a 2009 graduate from Gwendolyn Brooks High School and alumnus of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Entrepreneurship program, will be representing the University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC) College of Business at the 2012 Global Competitiveness Forum in Saudi Arabia! Ariell is currently a junior at UIC and is pursuing a degree in Marketing. Her trip is fully sponsored by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

Ariell is the founder and CEO of Smile Entertainment, a company focused on coordinating children's birthday parties. She started this business when she was a student at Brooks and has grown it to be the finest children's birthday coordinators in Chicago. Smile Entertainment takes care of everything from set-up to clean-up and makes sure everyone walks away smiling. For her work with Smile Entertainment, Ariell was awarded the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship's (NFTE) 2009 Global Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
