February is CTE Month!

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month is an opportunity to recognize the important role CTE plays in preparing students for success in college and career. Please help us celebrate the skills and accomplishments of our CPS CTE students! Throughout the month of February, the Office of Pathways to College and Career will showcase our students' efforts in the Central Office lobby during 10:00 am – 12:30 pm on the dates listed below:

February 7, 8, 9 Advanced Arts @ Gallery 37 / Law and Public Safety
February 14 Broadcast Technology / Digital Media / Health Sciences
February 15 Information Technology
February 16 Health Sciences / Information Technology
February 21 Architecture / Culinary Arts
February 23 Architecture / Cosmetology / Culinary Arts
February 28 Business / Transportation / Law and Public Safety
February 29 Agricultural Science / Business / Manufacturing

Also, there will be performances by students in the Advanced Arts @ Gallery 37 program at 3 p.m. in the Central Office lobby on the following dates:

February 23 Theatre
February 28 Dance
February 29 Vocal

Career and Technical Education (CTE) gives high school students, like you, the chance to get a head start on preparing for college and careers. As a CTE student you have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training and gain real world experience through job shadows and internships.
