As a student in the Agricultural Mechanics program you will learn how to read blue prints, survey land and ensure safe use of tools. You will also get hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools and computer programs to construct and maintain agricultural systems and structures.

Chicago Ag Academy Enrollment

To enroll in Chicago Ag academy you must:

  • Live in the city of Chicago
  • Have earned a stanine of 5 or higher on seventh grade reading and math assessments
  • Complete an Options application (Applications are available at CHSAS, any CPS school, and a copy can be downloaded via the Internet, www.chicagomagnetprograms.org, after September 29th.)
  • Submit a copy of 7th grade ISAT test scores if you are in a public schools or a copy of the seventh grade standard test scores used by your school. Applications cannot be processed without test scores.
