As a student in the Broadcast Technology program you will learn the fundamentals of working in front of the camera, as well as what goes on behind the scenes. Specifically in class you will write scripts, develop announcing skills, design and construct sets, prepare appropriate visual materials, analyze and critique staging and content, and study broadcasting operations and management.

CTE Participation at Neighborhood Schools

No application is required for you to participate in most CTE programs. All you need to do is determine which program at your school you are interested in and you can enroll in the introductory course when you choose your sophomore courses with your counselor (may vary by school). See the list of CTE Programs being offered for the 2010-2011 school year to find out which options are available at your neighborhood school.
