Is this a familiar statement you hear in your home at school, and in your community? Is your response, "But how?"
AVID, which means "eager for knowledge," is a 6th through 12th Grade Four-Year College Readiness system just for you.

GEAR UP

GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is college access programs at various high schools that helps students successfully graduate from high school and enroll in college. GEAR UP currently supports students in their junior and senior years of high school. If you attend a GEAR UP high school and are a junior or senior, you are automatically part of the program.

College and Career Academies

A College and Career Academy is a learning community within a high school that you can participate in during your high school education.

Career Programs

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs prepare you with a college-prep education as well as the real world skills that will allow you to graduate from high school with more than just a high school diploma.
