As high school seniors begin thinking about their next steps into college, they may experience a sense of anxiety. In an effort to ease the stress of making this transition from high school to college, the Office of College and Career Preparation provides seniors a one day conference called SERIOUS.

The objective of this annual conference is to provide seniors additional knowledge required to successfully acclimate into their new college culture. Students will need to know how to address living independently, making sound decisions, choosing classes and careers, dealing with diversity, financial literacy, competing in a global society and so much more. There are many tools that should be included in students’ toolboxes before going off to college. College should be an enjoyable learning experience that requires a focused mindset.
